Dry skin can occur at all ages and is not always associated with other skin problems. It is a problem that usually reoccurs and more often than not in winter and one of the best treatments is to use a hydrating face mask for dry skin.
A face mask for dry skin, like our Savar Gentle Hydrating Antioxidant Moisture Mask, that is rich in antioxidants will go a long way in smoothing out fine lines and hydrate, nourish and restore moisture levels.
We suggest to use your face mask for dry skin at least 3 times a week, however if you find your skin is very dry try using it 5 to 7 times a week. A great way to give your skin an extra moisture boost is to apply a generous layer on before you go to be and leave on overnight. This way your skin will absorb all it needs while you are sleeping.
Try and choose a natural face mask that is incredibly gentle and nourishing that will help even the driest skin and restore and strengthen your skin's protective barrier function to reduce pollution peneration.
Also, something to remember is that hot water depletes your skin of its natural oils so it is best to take short baths and showers in warm water rather than hot water.
When your skin is dry it feels slightly rough and appears dull and flaky. The fine lines in your skin also become more visible and your skin can start to crack and become itchy.
So if you do suffer from dry skin remember to – moisturise, moisturise, moisturise and don’t forget to add a face mask for dry skin to your skin care routine!
